Monique Bingham - You. Me. World (Bigga Sounds)

I had the privilege of speaking with Monique last week in New York, one of the most pleasant and down to earth people in the business, and she's delighted with the feedback on her latest project. A week after its release, this has already hit number one position in most download charts. This production sees Monique deliver another flawless vocal performance, paying homage to the recent passing of producer Malcom Mclaren, with an 80's New York/London hip hop fusion, keys from Tortured Soul's Ethan White and sax from Nadir Simon. Rounding off the package remix wise, is a collection of producers Monique has worked with in the past and admires at present from Jon Cutler, Ralf Gum, to upcoming SA cats DJ Christos and Leighton Moody.

Reel People ft. Darien - 'Sure' Reel People Music

Hailing from Mount Vernon in New York, Darien Dean is a multi talented MC, singer and dancer. Darien’s spirited musical style earned him a coveted spotlight at the 2010 Soul Beach Music Festival in Aruba, opening for Mary J. Blige. Here Darien returns to the Reel People camp with the first single 'Sure' taken from the forthcoming Reel People's long player 'Golden Lady'. The result been soulful grooves, laced with latin guitars, percussive beats, you now come to expect from Reel People over the lush vocals of Darien. Taking the track to the dancefloors is house master Frankie Feliciano, who i know Oli Lazarus is a big fan of, he delivers his usual tight warm mix with sublime keys. While North London based The Layabouts turn up the heat showcasing there dynamic soul tech sound. 4/5

Salvatore Agrosi Featuring Marie Joli - 'Paix Profonde' Seasons Ltd

While countless labels have faded away over the years, tried to re-invent themselves with a new sound, Seasons and its sub label Seasons Ltd, have stood the test of time with consistent, quality house music. They kick off the New Year in the same spirit as last year's releases, keeping the quality high and the music deep. They welcome a new member to the Seasons family in Salvatore Agrosi with the vocal talent of a regular artist on the label Marie Joli, together they produce the deep and dirty 'Paix Profonde'. They have enlisted the help of some friends to work on the remix package with Boddhi Satva who gives it the Ancestral treatment along with Andre Torquato from Brazil taking a different approach, with a more late night dancefloor appeal. 3/5

Neil Pierce feat. Dawn Tallman - 'Get Out Of My Head' MN2S

Another label who's consistency over the years has been second to none. MN2S deliver there first vocal bomb of 2011, from London producer Neil Pierce with his first debut single, collaborating with Dawn Tallman who Neil has been a long time admirer of, end result been a masterpiece in quality production and song writing. The 'Original' has more of a classic garage feel, with Dawn's sultry vocals, layered over some tasteful 4/4 beats. While on the remix front, Neil's close pal, and one of the best in the business DJ Spen, who puts his own Muthafunkaz stamp for even more dancefloor action. Already hit the top ten spot at most download sites, this is an early 2011 must have !! 5/5

Dasoul & Fabry Diglio - 'Neapolis Jazz Ep' Son Liva

Another UK imprint that impresses all the time with its releases, owned by London based DJ/Producer Jose Carretas. On there first release of 2011, Dasoul along with Fabry Diglio deliver two jazz influenced awesome productions. Both tracks offer something different, up first 'Sea of Love' featuring an incredible flute over a live instrumental broken beat, Aaron Ross adds fire with a resistless 4/4 groove, while label head Jose indulges you in a classic layed back interpretation. The second track 'Sun City' offers more organic vibes with Limestone Recording main man Matthew Bandy serving up a more uplifting ride, in the 'Limestone Mix'. 4/5
